As you can see, it is frugal to call each bank in your area for the best rate. Do not ever think that currency exchange places give you a better rate than a bank will. As you can clearly see, on the above date, they do not! Each bank uses its own rate every day. Each bank decides what rate it is going to buy and sell at.
Note as well, if you are buying Canadian dollars, it is better to do so in Canada! Do not exchange your money in the US into Canadian currency.

It will give you a very good indication of conversion rates, however; keep in mind that if you are going to the bank today to exchange money, call all your local banks first! Ask for their rate right at that moment and the amount. This converter cannot in anyway establish bank per bank conversion rates.
